W.O. Grubb Crane Rental, a leader in crane, rigging and heavy hauling in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA, has added a fully remanufactured Manitowoc MLC300 VPC-Max to its crawler fleet. The lattice boom crane was completely rebuilt by Manitowoc EnCORE partner, MGX Equipment Services, at its Belle Chasse, LA, facility

“The EnCORE refurbishment offered a shorter lead time and reduced cost, aligning with our commitment to outstanding service and optimized operations,” said Doug Adkins, director of fleet operations, W.O. Grubb.

The crane refurbishment involved upgrades, including replacing the boom, rebuilding the mast, installing a new engine and resealing critical components, according to Bill Walston, branch manager at the MGX EnCORE center in Louisiana.

The MLC300 joined W.O. Grubb’s fleet within ten weeks of refurbishment, enhancing performance on its debut project in North Carolina.

Following the most recent purchase, W.O. Grubb now has a crawler fleet featuring 11 MLC300 cranes.
