Jeff Pao joins KHL as editor of Rental Briefing

Jeff Pao has joined KHL’s editorial team as Editor of the daily Rental Briefing newsletter.

He will work alongside journalists on KHL’s access and rental titles - International Rental News (IRN), Access International and Access, Lift & Handlers (ALH) - to produce daily analysis and insight on the worldwide equipment rental industry.

Jeff is a veteran economics, business and technology reporter with 25 years of experience in print and digital media.

Prior to joining KHL, he served as China editor at Asia Times, senior reporter at EJ Insight (Hong Kong Economic Journal), business reporter at the South China Morning Post and political reporter at the Hong Kong Economic Times.

Originally from Hong Kong but now based in London, he started his journalist career as an industrial stock reporter, focusing on electrical tools, machinery, construction equipment and automotives.

He also covered technology and property news and wrote about artificial intelligence technologies and sustainability. He speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Jeff studied biochemistry and economics at universities in Hong Kong and completed a National Council for the Training of Journalist (NCTJ) course in London in 2023.
